Chapter 34– Plain Plane Pain! (Jacquie’s POV)

I get up and go into the kitchen and get a glass of water I drink it quickly and grab my head in pain, Hangover great just what I needed I take a Panadol and swallow it with another glass of water; I put the glass in the sink and go to sit on couch to find Andrew sleeping there, That’s right he slept over, I sit on the ground next to the couch Oh great something wants to be unleashed I get up, run to the toilet and throw up.

(Andrew’s POV)
I hear some moaning and I open my eyes I look around to find nothing I get up and walk into Jacquie’s room, No sign of her, I walk to the toilet and there I find a very sickly looking Jacquie throwing up.
“Oh that’s very appealing” I say.
She turns and looks at me and smiles then frowns and goes back to throwing up I hold her hair for her as she gags into the toilet.
“God this never happens” she says.
“Yeah very unlike you” I say pulling back another lose strand of hair away from her mouth. She stops and I let go of her hair She walks out and walks into the kitchen; I flush the toilet and follow her. She gets out a glass and fills it with water and drinks it and then other glass, which she drinks and then puts the glass in the sink, She wipes her face with her arm and rubs her eyes.

I had never seen her look so sick after a drunken night Most times she had only a headache.
“Man I need to look better or mum is gonna be pissed I drank” she says and walks into her room and closes the door.
I sit on the couch Whoa today Jacquie is leaving, and tomorrow I’m back to school, Stupid suspension not being long enough.
“Who are you?” Some one says interrupting my train of thought.
“Andrew” I say looking up and seeing Mark.
“You shouldn’t be here” Mark says.
“I know but at the moment there are two barely teen girls at my place that are evil” I say with a laugh.
“You are sick” Mark says obviously getting my joke the wrong way.
“Dude it’s my sister and her friend” I say.
“Oh, but still you shouldn’t be here cause of that you could have been at … what’s his name Jackson” he says.
“His name is Jared and no cause his parents were probably gonna have some ‘fun’ since it was their anniversary” I say emphasizing the word fun.
“Okay” he says “You and Jacquie didn’t … do anything?”
“NO” I say “I wouldn’t do that hell no, in fact if it puts your mind to rest I slept on the couch and she slept in her bed”
Man why is it that Mark and Jacquie’s Mum hate me, god they don’t trust me, Mark used to like me but things change so quickly.
“Hi Mark” Jacquie says cheerfully and sits next to me, she is dressed in blue jeans and the Anthrax shirt Mel and Tahlia got her and her hair was brushed and she had her make up on, I seriously don’t know why she wears it.
“Hi” he says “You could have told me you were having someone over”
“Yeah but you were sleeping” she says with a smile “And they say let sleeping dogs lie”
“Don’t push it,” he grumbles walking and turning the kettle on.
Mum walks into the living room.
“Hi Mum” Jacquie says cheerfully.
She is doing pretty well for a very hung over chick.
“Hi Jacquie … and Andrew” she says.
“And before you ask no” Jacquie says.
“That’s good” she says “You all packed?”
“Yes Mum” Jacquie says.
“Even your laptop?” she asks.
“Yes” Jacquie says “I’m gonna walk Andrew home”
“But…” I say but Jacquie covers my mouth.
“Bye Mum” she says.

We walk out the house and she slips on some shoes.
“Hello you're leaving real soon and all you wanna do is get rid of me” I say.
“What makes you think that?” she asks grabbing my wrist and pulling me as she runs.
“I dunno the fact you're making me run to my house” I say.
“And I said we we're going to your house did I?” she says.
“Huh” is all I manage till she brings me into a kiss.
“We just needed to get way from the house” she says “Or we will be watched”
I laugh.
“Naughty” I say.
“You know it” she says kissing me.
We were full making out until…
“Yo dude got lucky” some guy says.
We stop and turn to see Jared.
“Jared” Jacquie almost screams and hugs him.
“What the hell” Jared says.
“I’m gonna miss you” she says.
“Oh yeah you're leaving aren’t you” he says and hugs her.
“Yeah” she says and lets go of him “You are so forgetful”
“Sure” he says “You made me forget what my mum sent me out for”
“Tahlia” I say.
“No, Milk” he says and laughs.
“You sure” Jacquie says.
“Okay fine Tahlia is also on the list” he says.

We start walking to the shop.
“So” Jared says “Public display much?”
“It’s that or get banned from seeing him forever if Mum catches us” Jacquie says.
“Your mum is so… Strict” Jared says.
“Mark is too” I say.
“No he isn’t” Jacquie says.
“He was asking me millions of questions” I say.
“You do exaggerate Andy” she says with a laugh “Also Jared you do realise you are in your Pj’s”
“Yep” he says “It’s the new style”
“Of loser” Jacquie jokes.
“You said it” Jared agrees.
We arrive at the shop and Jared gets a bottle of milk and pays for it and walks out the shop.
“Next stop Andrew’s” Jacquie says.

We walk to my house and we pick up Tahlia and Mel, and then we walk to Jared’s.
“I can’t believe you're leaving us” Mel says hugging Jacquie.
“I’m gonna be gone for a week” Jacquie says letting go of her.
“Still it’s a long time” Mel says.
“Sure” Tahlia says sarcastically
Jacquie hugs Tahlia.
“I’m gonna miss your sarcastic-ness” she says.
“And yeah I’m gonna miss being sarcastic around you” Tahlia says hugging her back.
“I don’t know if I should take that as a compliment or not” Jacquie replies letting go of Tahlia.
“Neither do I” Tahlia laughs.

We have just arrived at Jared’s and I sit on the fence.
“I’m gonna miss you guys so much” Jacquie says.
“We are obviously gonna miss you” Tahlia says.
“But I’m gonna miss you the most” Jacquie says grabbing me and pulling me into a kiss, I kiss her back until she finally lets me go.
“I gotta go see ya” she says running off.
“Bye” I yell after her.

(Jacquie’s POV)
Oh fuck I totally forgot about Nate I continue running to my place When I arrive I open the door and run straight in my room and look at my phone. There’s nothing saying any calls.
I call Nate.
“God damn it Nate answer” I say to myself.
“Yo” Someone says on the line.
“Umm hi is Nate there?” I ask.
“You’re speaking to him” he says.
“Fuck your voice sounds weird” I say.
“I know it’s retarded” he says “Oh yeah sorry for not calling I have no credit”
“Okay so you alright?” I ask.
“Yeah just very hung over” he says.
“Okay” I say and sigh.
Thank god he was okay.
“You're going today aren’t you?” he asks.
“Yeah” I say.
“Well I’ll see you when you get back” he says “Serious my head is pounding”
“Okay well see you then, bye” I say.
“Bye Jac” he says and hangs up.
I turn my phone off and put it in my pocket and I walked into the lounge room.
“You took a while” Mum says.
“Yeah we ran into Jared” I reply.
“Okay” she says “You ready?”
“Whoa, are we going now?” I ask
“Nearly” she says “A couple of minutes”
“Are my bags in the car?” I ask.
“Yeah” she replies “Have you packed your laptop?”
“You have already asked and yes I have” I reply.
“Okay” she says.
“Ready to go?” Mark says walking into the lounge room.
“Yes” I say.
We all get in the car and Mark drives me to the airport.

When we arrive we get out and we drop off my suitcase in bag drop, then I went through security It beeped this time but I forgot that I had my phone in my back pocket, then I went though it again and it beeped, I realised my shoes and my belt had metal on them I sigh and take them off and walk through AGAIN. This time no beep thank god I put my belt and shoes back on and put my phone back in my pocket, I say bye to Mark and Mum.
“By the way Kerrie and Jimmy will be waiting for you” Mum say and walks off I get onto the plane and take my seat, The plane was white and the seats were a weird cream colour. A man sat next to me and immediately fell asleep and then came the feeling of it’s gonna be a long boring plain plane pain ride.

Chapter 33– Just A Get Together**Fast Forward Sunday** (Jacquie’s POV)

I wake up and get out of bed I yawn and walk into the lounge room I sit on the couch and turn on the TV and flip through the channels all that is on is music shows. Normally I would love this but it didn’t really appeal to me at this moment. I turn off the TV and put on the kettle to make a coffee I knock quietly on Mum and Mark’s door to check if they were awake, The door opens and Mark pops his head out.

“Morning sunshine” he says sarcastically to me.
“Morning bed head” I say.
He feels his hair and serious his hair was like a birds nest.
“Damn” he says trying to flatten his hair with his hands.
“So you trying the dreadlocks look?” I ask.
“Totally” he says sarcastically.
“You and Mum want some coffee?” I ask with a smile.
“Yeah that would be nice” he says.
“Sure” I say and he closes to door.

I walk back into the kitchen and make 3 cups of coffee.
Mum and Mark come out and get their coffees and sit together on the couch and watch TV.
“Hey Jacquie it’s Musicz” Mum says.
“Nah I don’t feel like watching but if you see anything that I would like call me,” I say taking my coffee into my room.
I take a sip of coffee and place it on the desk I sit down and continue my little song I was writing. It wasn’t really a song,More like a poem about boredom.

My phone goes off.
I answer it.
“Hello, if you would like to see your friends live pay $10,000” Andrew says.
“Nope, not paying” I say jokingly.
“Well you' mean” he says laughing.
“You know I would pay but I can tell it’s you” I say.
“How?” he asks.
“Your voice” I say
“Yeah but I made it sound muffled” he says.
“Yeah but I could tell it’s you” I say.
“Sure” he says, “Anyways, So wanna come over Jared’s say 6pm?”
“Why not now?” I ask.
“Going away party” he says “Surprise”
“You know I didn’t want a party” I say “But thanks I’ll come”
“Well it’s not really a party more like a little get together” Andrew says.
“Oh okay” I say.
I hear whispers down the phone line.
“Oh and Mel and Tahlia want you to spend time with them while me and Jared are getting ready” he says.
“Okay” I say.
“Well they will be over in an hour so yeah get ready” he says.
“Okay bye” I say.
“Bye babe” he says and hangs up.

I smile to myself and put the phone down and get out pair of blue skinny leg jeans and a black shirt with the words rockstar in training in big red bold print Then I get out a pair of black sneakers and black socks I put them on the bed and go for a shower,When I finish I get dressed and do my hair and then apply some black eyeliner and mascara.
“Jacquie, Tahlia and Mel are here” Mark says.
And then my bedroom door opens up wide and Tahlia and Mel run in and hug me.
“Hi” I say
“Hey” they say letting go.
“So what are we doing?” I ask.
“Umm shopping and umm anything you wanna do?” Mel says.
“Okay” I say getting my wallet.
I check how much I have. $70 oh yeah I’m rich.
We walk out of my room and I say bye to Mum and Mark and we walk out the door.

We walk down to the mall and go into a couple of shops Tahlia and Mel had run off on me so I decided to look for a couple of CD’s that I liked.
“So how you going?” Someone asks behind me.
It’s Nate.
“I’m pretty good” I say “Yourself?”
“I’m good” he says “So what are you doing tomorrow?”
“Why?” I ask.
“Robbo and the guys were having a skating contest and I thought you and Andrew might wanna come along and see” he says.
“Oh, well I can’t make it” I say.
“Why?” he asks.
“I’m gonna be on a plane” I say.
“Where to?” he asks.
“America” I say.
“Sure,sure” he says “You could say you didn’t want to come”
“No I’m serious,” I say.
“Oh really?” he asks.
“For the last time YES” I say.
“Okay” he says.
“So do you wanna come to the get together tonight?” I ask.
“Sure” he says.
“Yeah it’s at Jared’s” I say.
“Whose Jared?” he asks.
“Oh you haven’t met Jared” I say “Right he is a friend of mine”
“Okay so where does he live?” he asks.
“56 Shanty Road” I say.
“I have no idea where that is” he says with a laugh.
“Oh well maybe you should tag along with me and my friends till we go there” I say.
“Where’s your friends?” he asks.
I look around and sigh.
“I don’t know they left…” I say and my phone goes off.
I answer it.
“Where did you go?” Tahlia asks.
“Angst music” I say.
“Oh be there in a bit” she says and hangs up.
“Well it seems they are coming now” I say putting my phone away.
I go back to looking at music and Nate joins.
“Hiya” Tahlia says coming up to us with Mel.
“Sorry we left you” Mel says.
“Its okay Nate kept me company,” I say showing them Nate
“Hi” Nate says.
“Hi” they both say.
I look and see they have bought a couple of things in my absence with them.
“Oh yeah Nate is coming to the get together thing is that okay?” I ask.
“Sure the more the better” Tahlia says.

We all walk around looking at shops that took our fancy But then we got bored and decided to have some lunch,I have sushi and the others have hamburgers.
“How the hell can you eat that?” Mel says
“It’s cat food” Tahlia says.
“Sure” I say eating the last of it.
I get up and put the container in the bin near where we wear sitting and sit back down.
Nate finishes his hamburger and throws the wrapperstraight into the bin from where he was sitting.
Tahlia and Mel take a while finishing theirs.
When they finish we go walking to the exit.
“Hey Jacquie didn’t you wanna dye your hair?” Mel asks.
“Well yeah a while ago I did” I say.
“Why don’t you get it done now?” Mel says pointing to a hair salon “Our treat”
“Nah, I’m fine” I say.
“You sure?” Mel says.
“Yes” I say.
“Good lets go inside” she says pushing me into the salon.
“No I don’t want it done I’ve changed my mind since last week” I say trying to walk back out the shop.
She pulls me to the desk.
Tahlia and Nate walk in and sit down on a couple of chairs in the corner obviously for waiting customers.
A girl with Blonde hair walks to the counter.
“What would you like done?” she asks.
“Well” Mel says nudging me.
“Umm can I have purple tips” I ask.
“Sure” she says writing it down and then pointing to a chair with a mirror in front of it “Please sit in that chair over there”
I sit where I am asked.
Mel walks over.
“Do you want to have your nails done too?” she asks, “We can get them done at the nail shop”
“No, I’m good” I say “But I’m not sure you guys wanna stay around here while I get my hair done”
“Meh we will go have a game of bowling and come back or something” she says.
“Aww I wanna go bowling” I say.
“When you get your hair finished we can have another game” she says walking off to the counter again.

I watch her pay the girl at the counter and walk of with Nate and Tahlia.
A girl with bright red hair and green tips walks over to me.
“So what am I doing for you?” she asks nicely with a heavy Irish accent.
“Can I please have purple tips?” I ask.
“Okay and how long do you want them?” she asks.
I show her then length and she nods.
“You don’t mind if I bleach the bottom of your hair blonde then dye the ends purple?” she asks, “It makes the purple a brighter and deeper shade”
“Sure” I say.
“Okay we need to shampoo your hair first so come with me to the washing station” she says and we walk over to a seat with a sink behind the head of the seat.

1 and half hours later…
The red headed girl finishes blow-drying my hair and I look in the mirror.
“Wow it looks awesome” I say.
“Thanks” she says, “Okay well you're good to go"
Okay bye” I say getting up and walking to Mel, Tahlia and Nate who had finished bowling half an hour ago and had been sitting and talking.
“Wow” Nate say.
“That looks great” Tahlia says getting up and playing with the tips of my hair.
“Yeah they did a good job,” Mel says.
We all walk out the salon.
“So how about that game of bowling Jacquie?” Mel asks.
“Sure I’ll show you a thing or two” I say.
we walk to the bowling place.

5 hours later (5 games later) {6.50pm}…
We had just finished our last game and at about 5.30pm I called Mum and told her I’m gonna be at Jared’s, she approved thank god.
“We have to get to Jared’s” Tahlia says rushing us.
We walk to Jared’s quite quickly.
Tahlia opens the door with her key and we all walk in.
Andrew is lying on the couch with his eyes closed and Jared walks in.
“Hi” he says and punches Andrew in the arm.
“WHAT” Andrew yells and see us.
“Hi” I say.
“Hey” he says getting up and stretching.
“Mr sleepy here has done nothing but sleep” Jared says and glares at Andrew.
“What you could have wokenme up” he says.
“Anyway, drinks people?” Jared asks.
“Sure” I say, “What do you have?”
“Vodka, umm beer and well anything in the fridge” he says “Dad stocked up on stuff”
I walk with him into the kitchen.
I look through and decide I feel like a vodka cruiser, so I take one and go out to the rest.
“You guys want vodka cruisers?” I ask around.
Everyone says yes but Nate who wants a beer.
“None for Mel” Andrew says.
“What?” Mel says “Why?”
“Mum would have a fit if I let you” Andrew says.
“noshe won’t” she says “Just one come on”
“Fine but if Mum find out your in trouble not me okay” he says.
Jared walks in with 2 beers and 3 vodka cruisers.
Nate takes the beer and passes along the vodka cruisers to Andrew and the girls.
We sit and Jared puts on some music, to be precise Anthrax.
I take a big glug of my drink.
I loved vodka cruisers well really I just loved alcohol as a whole It didn’t matter if I didn’t like the taste I would drink it anyway.
Nate gets up and walks to me.
“Toilet?” he asks.
I get up and walk him to it and walk back and sit down.
“So Jared where are your parentsanyway?” I ask.
“What?” he asks.
“WHERE ARE YOUR PARENTS?” I yell over the music
“OH they are...” he says turning down the music a bit “they are at the movies, won’t be back till 11pm tonight it’s there anniversary”
“Really?” I say “Cool”
“Yeah except the fact there bed is gonna be squeaking tonight” he says.
Tahlia nearly chokes while drinking She swallows it.
“Eww” she yells, “They don’t do they?”
“Yep” he says “They are fucken loud, last time I walked around town till 2am and came home just so I didn’t have to listen”
“Eww” she says again “Mel I’m staying at yours”
“Sure” Mel says.
Andrew gets up.
“No way in hell” he says.
“Why?” Mel asks.
“You two will do something evil and you know it” he says.
“Well yeah but still” Tahlia says “I’m not staying”
“Jacquie I’m over yours” Andrew says.
“I don’t think Mums gonna allow that” I say.
“I’ll sleep on the couch if I have to” he says “I am not losing my eyebrows again”
“What?” I ask.
“We shaved his eyebrows off when he was sleeping” Mel says with a laugh.
“That was hilarious” Tahlia says laughing.
“No it wasn’t” Andrew says “Thank god my hair was in bangs so I could cover where my eyebrows would have been”
“That didn’t stop us from cutting your hair so you could see where they weren’t” Tahlia says.
Mel cracks up.
“Shut up” Andrew says
Mel covers her mouth trying to stop herself from laughing but it was useless.
Nate walks in.
All laughter stops.
“What?” he asks sitting down next to me and picking up his beer and sculling it and putting it down on the table.
“Nothing” Mel says.

3 hours later…
Andrew and Jared are tipsy fun drunk Tahlia and Mel are not drunk or tipsy just crazy. They have only had that onedrink. Me I’m … a little drunker than Andrew and Jared but definitlynot as Nate,Nate is totally off his face He is so damn pissed its not funny well actually… it is,He is trying to sing but is slurring everything.
“I think I might take him home” I say to everyone.
“Sure” Jared says.
“I’ll come with” Andrew says.
Andrew and I help Nate not run into anything as we walk out of the house and down the road.
“So where does he live?” Andrew asks.
“Somewhere in Cyprus Road” I say.
Andrew stops.
“What?” I ask.
“Cyprus Road?” he asks.
“Yeah” I say, “What’s up?”
“You know how dangerous that road is?” he asks
guess not” I say.
“It’s full of drugies,” he says
“So all we have to do is drop him off and leave,” I say.
“Do you know the house number?” he asks.
“Nope” I say.
“Yo Nate what’s your house number?” Andrew asks.
“2 ….6” he says.
“I just hope that means 26” he says.
We continue walking till we get to the road.
We hear a scream and then it stops.
My adrenaline started pumping.
We begin walking down the road. We look for 26 but there is nothing it only goes up to 10.
“I know number 2 is a flat maybe he means house 2 floor 6” I say.
“Okay but I seriously don’t think its safe to go in there” he says.
“Man where’s your adventure?” I say and we walk to number 2.
I walk with Andrew and Nate into the flat We walk up the floors passing 2 drunk people lying down and some guy injecting himself with a clear liquid.
When we reach the 6th floor there is 2 doors.
“Nothing is ever easy” Andrew mutters.
“Nate which one is your place?” I ask him.
Nate walks to the right door and gets out a key and rams it into the door completely missing the keyhole and making a dint into the door. I take the key from him and open the door.
He walks in and flops on the lounge face first,I put the key on the bench and look for a piece of paper.
“What are you doing?” Andrew asks.
“Paper?” I ask him.
“No I don’t have any” he says.
I find a piece on the ‘kitchen’ bench and I find a pen on the ground I write a little note for him telling him Andrew and I walked him home and what my number was and to call me if he can and if he didn’t I would call him till I had to leave for America.
I walked out of the room locked the door behind me.
We walk down the stairs and out of the flat onto the road
Woa that was different” I say.
“What do you mean?” he asks.
“That was probably the most excitement I have had for a while” I say.
“What?” he say confused “The thought of … getting in trouble or attacked or… worse excites you?”
“Kinda” I say.
We begin walking back to Jared’s.
“Man you are crazy” he says.
I laugh.
“That I am” I say.
“And thatswhy I love you” he says with a laugh.
“Cause I’m crazy?” I say.
“Cause you make me laugh” he says.

We knock on Jared’s door and Mel opens it.
We walk inside.
“Now we can finally give you our little present” Tahlia says.
“Aww don’t I’m gonna be away for a week and that’s it I don’t need to have any presents”
“Well I didn’t get you anything you gave me strict orders not to” Andrew says sitting down.
“I didn’t cause I don’t know what you like” he says.
“We did cause we didn’t want you to look like shit in New Jersey” Tahlia say passing me a bag that I immediately recognized from when we went shopping “It’s from me and Mel”
I open the bag and pull out a shirt. I unfold the shirt and it’s an Anthrax shirt.
“This would make my like millionth band shirt I have” I say “Thanks”
I give them both a hug.
“No problem” Tahlia says.
“Well Mum and Dad get home pretty soon so no offence or anything but I gotta clean up so yeah umm can you guys go home?” Jared says.
“Okay” I say “bye Jared”
I give him a big hug he was like a brother to me.
“Bye Jacquie” he says hugging me back.
I let go of him and everyone says their goodbyes to Jared and we leave first to go to Andrew’s to drop off Tahlia and Mel.
When we arrive I give Tahlia and Mel a hug and we say bye.
Then Andrew and I set off for my place.
“So” he says
“What?” I ask.
“You're goin tomorrow"hesays.
“Yes” I say.
“Who are you gonna miss the most?” he asks.
“Jared” I say jokingly.
“Oh fine then” he replies jokingly.
“It’s obviously you” I say and I hug him.
As we walk I start feeling dizzy. Looks like the alcohol is finally kicking in.
“Shit you're all over the place" Andrew says
Apparently so” I say
He grabs me by the waist and pulls me closer to him We continue walking as if we were joined at the hip.
“Do you remember how much I drank?” I ask.
“Umm you had 3 vodka cruisers and a beer and a half you stole the half from Jared” he says with a laugh.
I laugh.
“I think you had a vodka and a beer” I say.
“Yep” he says.
We finally arrive at my place.
I open the door with my key, which seemed to take forever since the key kept missing the keyhole.
We walk in and run straight into the couch, man I was clumsy in the dark and the fact I was somewhat drunk wasn’t helping.
I gain my balance again and look around All the lights are out obviously Mum and Mark were asleep.
“So I’m sleeping where?” he asks.
“I dunno” I say making my way to my room.
He follows me and I open the door We walk through and he closes the door after him.
“Excuse moi, I need to get changed” I say.
“Excuse moi … okay” he says and walks out the room.

I open the closet and try to find my pj’s but fail to find them; I guess I packed them up already. I decide to wear a really baggy shirt instead I change into it and call Andrew back in.
“You can sleep on my bed and I will sleep on the couch” I say.
I go to walk out the room He grabs my wrist.
“Why?” he asks.
“Well I don’t think my Mum is gonna be very happy you’re here, so its best I don’t push it by having you in the same bedas me” I reply.
“Maybe I should sleep on the couch” he says.
“Nah you a guest, you bed” I say.
He smiles.
“No you bed” he says.
“Are you mocking me?” I ask.
“No me no mock you, you go bed” he says and he lets go of my wrist and goes out of the room closing the door behind him.I lie down on the bed and almost immediately go to sleep I didnt even get enough time to put the covers over me.

Chapter 32– Chicken? (Jacquie’s POV)

I wake up the room’s pitch black except for a little red light on that I think is the TV stand by button. I go to move but realise someone’s there cuddling me. I guess its Andy, I get the pillow I was laying on and slip it under his head I slowly move away from him and my way to the kitchen running into about 4 chairs along the way. Oh well. I get a glass and get some water, I drink it and put the glass in the sink.
“Man you are one loud bitch Mel,” A sleepy Andrew says.
I turn around.
"never knew I looked like a blonde?” I say
“Oh sorry Babe” he says
“It’s okays” I say.
“So we going back to sleep?” he asks.
“Yeah” I say.
We walk back to the couch and cuddle up and I fall back to sleep.


7.55am…
“Wake up” Is what I hear before I get pushed off the lounge.
I look up its Mel and Tahlia I give them an evil look.
“We have been trying to wake you up for the past … ages” Tahlia says.
“Oh sorry where’s Andrew?” I say my voice slightly croaky.
“He is in his room” Mel says.
“Okays” I say and stand up.
I start to make my way to his bedroom.
“I wouldn’t” Mel says.
“Why?” I say turning around.
“You’ll spoil the surprise” Mel says, it sounded quite sarcastic.
“Umm okay” I say walking away from the room.
“So” Tahlia says.
A smile comes to my face.
“YOU HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL” I tease.
“Oh shut up,” Tahlia says.
“Yeah just cause…. I got nothing,” Mel says.
I laugh.
“Zing” I say, “Why the hell did I say that?”
“Umm you’re becoming a nerd like Michael?” she says.
“Man what happened again with him?” I ask.
“He got jealous blah blah blah something something something the end, he is annoying and we all hate him” Tahlia says, “the only thing I liked about him was his name started with an M”
“Yeah yeah you liked him,” Mel says.
“What the hell I hated that fuck” Tahlia says.
“I knew you fucked him,” Mel says.
“I WAS REFERING TO HIM AS A FUCK, NOT AS IF I HAD FUCKED HIM GOD YOU’RE SO BLONDE” Tahlia yells.
“Shut up okay not my fault” Mel says.
Andrew walks out his room and slumped down on the couch.
Mel raises an eyebrow then lowers it. She and Tahlia walk back into her room, Probably getting changed I sit next to Andrew.
“So, What’s up?” I ask.
He just smiles at me.
“Tell Me,” I beg.
He still smiles.
“God your damn happy” I say.
He lets out a little giggle.
“Aww girly giggle” I say.
He gives me an evil stare but then goes back to smiling.
“If you don’t tell me what’s up I’m going to … do something,” I say.
He rolls his eyes and kisses me.
He pushes something in my mouth Something small.
He pulls out and is still smiling.
I pull out whatever it is. FUCK ITS AN AWESOME SKULL SILVER RING, man he knows me so well.
“Oh thanks” I say and give him a quick peck “But why all the presents?”
I put the ring on my left hand index finger.
“I just felt like it,” he says.
“Thanks” I say and hug him.
“STOP MAKING OUT ME AND TAHLIA ARE COMING OUT” Mel yells.
Andrew cracks up and so do I.
Mel and Tahlia appear.
“We are going see ya” Tahlia says.
“But it’s…” Andrew says looking at the clock.
“8.30am so yeah we are going” Mel says.
“Make sure you say to Jared I’m sorry I’m not there,” I say
“Sure” Mel says then she and Tahlia hurry out the door.
“Well I should go home” I say getting up.
“Why?” he asks.
“Well soon my mum will call me and be like, coming home soon and yeah its best to be home before then” I reply.
“Okay but I’m coming with you,” He says.
I smile and get my bag I didn’t even change into my pj’s I don’t know why I bothered.
“I gotta change so I’ll be in your sisters room changing, and no you cant watch,” I say with a smile.
I go into Mel’s room and get changed into my clean clothes I put my other clothes into the bag and walk out Andrew’s waiting for me he has the black gift bag from last night that he gave to me.
“Aww thanks” I say “But serious you didn’t have to do that and no more gifts okay”
“Sure” he says.

We walk out of the house and he walks me to my place I give him a kiss out the front of mine and he gives me the black gift bag, I walk to the door and knock He waves at me and I wave back then he walks off. The door opens.
“Hi” Mark says, “Oh it’s you, your mum was about to call”
“Yeah I thought I would get back before then” I say and walk in.
Mum hugs me.
“How are you?” she asks letting go of me.
“Good” I reply.
“What’s with that bag?” Mark asks closing the door.
“Oh Andrew gave me a couple of presents” I say, “I feel bad I didn’t give him anything”
“I thought you were over Mel’s?” Mum asks.
“I was but hello Mel is Andrew’s sister so yeah he was there too,” I say.
“Sex?” She asks.
“No I wouldn’t have sex with Mel or Tahlia they are my friends I don’t like them in that way” I say with a smile.
“Ha ha I meant Andrew,” She says.
“Of course not” I say.
“Okay good” she says.
I walk to my room. I put my bags down I immediately go on the laptop and I check my email. 2 new emails.
I open the first one.

I send it.
I wasn’t expecting to get an email from Gerard or Ray for that matter, oh well happier now.

I turn off the laptop.
“So what did Andrew get ya?” Mark asks.
I jump.
“Fuck don’t do that,” I say.
“Sorry, and no swearing” he says with a laugh.
“Oh just a couple of things” I say.
“Like?” he asks.
“A shirt, boots, skirt, fishnets, bracelet and this ring” I say showing him the ring on my finger.
“Okay” he says and walks off.
I guess he is telling mum.
He likes to do that a lot.
I laugh to myself and look at the boots he bought me.
Man I love them, so taking them to America.
I lie down on my bed and My phone goes off.
I answer it.

“Hey” I say.
“Hi, wanna come over again?” Andrew asks.
“Well I want to but I seriously need to have a shower” I reply.
“Oh, well I will come over and possibly help you shower” he says with a laugh.
“Oh sure mum seriously wouldn’t leave us alone, let alone let me shower with you” I say.
“Damn” he says, “Well find out if I can at least come over, I don’t care if she keeps checking in on us”
“Fine, I’ll call you back after my shower” I say.
“Okays bye” he says and hangs up.
I get a towel and go for a shower.

15 minutes later…
I had finished my shower and had just gotten dressed when my phone goes off, I check it and it’s a txt from Andrew.

So can I come over?

I find my mum.
“Can Andrew come over?” I ask.
“Why?” she asks.
“Cause I want him to come over” I reply.
“Umm I guess so,” she says.
“Thanks” I say.

I send to Andrew.
I walk into my room, brush my hair and sit on the couch I watch some TV I flip through the channels not much is on, but I catch the last couple seconds of Disarm by Smashing Pumpkins video clip.

“Honey, Andrew’s here,” Mum says opening the door.
Andrew walks in.
I get up and hug him.
“Hey” I say letting him go.
“Hiya” he says.
“Okay I’m gonna be in my room getting ready for Kay’s Birthday” Mum says ducking out of the room “Oh yeah Andrew can come too if he wants”
“Oh yeah I forgot it was her birthday party today” I say, “So you wanna come?”
“Sure” Andrew replies.
“Good” I say to Andrew leading him to my room by his hand “You can help me find something to wear”.
We go inside my room and I close the door.
He sits on my bed.
“So” he says.
“Okay one thing that is important is that I’m wearing Jeans” I say getting a pair of plain blue jeans out and a pair of black skinny leg jeans out of the closet “But I’m not sure what ones”
“Skinny legs” He says.
“Okay cool” I say putting the skinny legs on the bed and putting the blue jeans back in the closet “Now a shirt”
“How about that black one with Smashers on it that I got ya?” he says.
Smashers is a nickname he uses for Smashing Pumpkins, some people say it too but mostly him.
“Sure” I say walking to the black gift bag and pulling it out and placing it on the bed “Shoes?”
“Umm black sneakers?” he suggests.
“Sure” I say pulling out two pairs “What pair do you reckon?”
“Umm skull laces, they are cool,” he says.
I place the shoes next to my bed.
“I guess I’m gonna have to get changed too” he says.
“Nah your good how you are” I say sitting next to him.
“But I wanna” he says.
“Really?” I ask.
“Nope” he says laughing.
“Knew it,” I say.
“Yeah I’m that predictable” he says.
“Sure” I say hugging him “But your cuddly so that’s good”
“So when are we going to the party?” he asks.
“Um in a hour I think” I say letting go “So go sit in the living room while I get changed”
“Okay sure” he says walking out of my room, opening and closing the door after him.
I get dressed and put my phone in my jeans I apply some make up and put on a bangle that I got a couple of years ago in Jersey.
I walk out the room and sit with Andrew.
“You look h…” he says but mum walks in “Pretty”.
“Thanks” I say.
Mum walks to the kitchen “Hungry” she asks us.
“Umm kinda” I say.
“Yeah” Andrew replies.
“Okay, want some chips or something little?” Mum asks “Cause Mark is gonna be a bit getting ready”
“Chips would be good” Andrew says.
“Yeah chips please Mum,” I say.
“Sure” Mum says.
She walks back into the room tossing us a pack each of plain chips.
“Thanks” we both say and open our chips.
“So anyone else gonna be there that we know of?” Andrew asks and eats a couple of chips.
“Umm no I don’t think so” I say, “Kay only has one daughter and she is in Europe somewhere and I don’t think she invited anyone of our age”
“Okay” he says.
We continue eating chips and watch some TV until Mark finally comes out.
“Man you take as long as a chick does” Andrew says.
“I take pride in how I look” he says, “Well not really I was bored and I started impersonating Elvis”
“What the hell?” I ask.
“I’m joking,” he says.
“Okay that’s good,” I say.
“Are we going yet?” Mum asks.
“Sure” Mark says.
“Shouldn’t we tell your mum?” I ask Andrew.
“Oh yeah right” he says pulling out his phone.
He pushed a couple of buttons and puts the phone to his ear.
He waits a bit.
“Hi mum” he says.
He waits a bit.
“I’m going to Jacquie’s Mum’s Friend’s Party Is that okay?” he asks.
He waits AGAIN.
“Thanks mum, bye” he say and hangs up.
“I guess you're coming?” Mark says.
“Yep” Andrew replies.

Mum and Mark sit in the front and Andrew and I sit in the back.
We drive off.
“Has Andrew met Kay before Jacquie?” Mark asks.
“Nope” I say.
“What’s she like?” Andrew asks.
“She's like Mum kinda, except blonde hair and brown eyes” I say.
“Oh okay” Andrew replies.
“By the way Jacquie there’s a girl a bit older than you I want you to meet” Mum says.
“Umm okay” I say.
Andrew and I have a random conversation till we arrive at Kay’s.
We all get out and Mum gets out a present and we walk to the front door.
The door immediately opens and a blast of music and people talking is heard.
“Hi” Mum says hugging Kay who is the person who opened the door “Happy Birthday Babe”
“Thank you” she says and Mum lets go “Come in”
We walk in and Mum hands her the present.
“Thanks” Kay closing the front door and skipping off down the hall and into a room then back without the present.
“Well this looks fun,” Andrew says.
“Okay well everyone is this way” Kay says directing us into a room that looks like a really big entertainment room, but I know it was originally the dining room that had a table that could accommodate 16 comfortably.
“Wow I like what you did to this room” Mum says looking around.
“Yeah thought it was perfect for the party” Kay says.
There were heaps of people, but no familiar faces.
“Jacquie over there is that girl I want you to meet” Mum says pointing to a girl with peroxide blonde hair and blue eyes, with red lipstick and wearing a skimpy red dress.
Andrew taps me.
I look at him.
“Looks like a whore” Andrew says quietly to me.
I laugh I agreed with him.
Mum pulls me towards her and Andrew follows me.
We stop in front of the girl.
“This is Katy, she is 19” Mum says introducing me to her “And this is my daughter Jacquie and her boyfriend Andrew”
Katy smiles “nice to meet you” she says.
“You too” I say.
Mum walks off.
Katy’s smile drops.
“Okay bye emo fuck ups I’m off to talk to that guy” she says and walks over to some random guy.
“See ya slut,” I say but I am drowned out by music.
Andrew laughs.
“At least you can hear me,” I say.
“Told you she was a whore” Andrew says.
“I didn’t doubt you,” I say.
“I know,” he says.
He smiles and takes my hand.
“No need to sound like a pig but I’m fucken starving” Andrew says.
“Okay lets find some grub,” I say with a smile.
We walk around a bit and find Kay.
“Hey Kay wondering…” I say but Kay cuts me off.
“Where a private room is,” she says.
“Umm no” I say.
“Serious need a private room there’s one…” she says but I cut her off.
“No we are looking for food,” I say.
“Okay follow me,” she says.
We follow her through another two room’s that are full of people.
Until we are in yet another crowded room full of people but that is also full of food.
“Thanks Kay and just wondering how many people did you invite?” I ask.
“Umm I dunno heaps, I told people to invite more people as well,” she says and the runs off again.
Andrew and I laugh and walk and get some food.
I grab some white chocolate dipped strawberries, What can I say I can’t resist them?
Andrew grabs a piece of Chocolate cake.
“Man this place is way too crowded” I say.
“Yeah” he says taking a bite of cake.
“Lets search for a quiet room” I say.
We walk out of the room.
We pass through masses of people until we get to the hallway again I put another strawberry in my mouth I open the door of the guest bedroom, We go inside I knew a couple of rooms around the house but not all of them. The house was so big that most times I came here I would find a new room I hadn’t been in.
I sit on the table next to the bed while Andrew sits on the bed.
“I don’t get it you see a bed and a table and you think hmmm I will sit on the table,” he says with a laugh.
“Ehh felt like it” I say eating another strawberry.
“Rebel” he says and finishes his cake.
“Damn straight” I say passing him a strawberry.
He eats it and smiles.
“Why did mum want me to meet a slut?” I ask.
“Maybe to show you that she doesn’t want you to be like that” he replies.
“Yeah or for us to get revenge on her” I say and eat the last strawberry.
An evil smile appears on his face.
“I think that’s exactly what your mum thinks,” he says.
“Good” I say getting up.
We walk out the room and close the door We walk to the “now” entertaining room, The music was louder in there and there was heaps of people dancing and a couple that looked drunk and dancing… if you can call it that.
We spot Katy dancing with the guys she walked over to.
“So what are we gonna do?” Andrew asks.
“Dance” I say.
“Huh?” Andrew asks.
“Okay we dance gradually getting closer then I trip her,” I say.
“Oh good idea” Andrew says.
We dance closely and blend into the crowd We slowly get closer and closer to Katy, She doesn’t even notice us I trip her leg and she falls onto the random guy.
“Damn” I say quietly and we move away quickly but still dancing.
We watch her to see if she saw us.
She seems happy and kisses the guy.
“What the?” Andrew says.
“I don’t know, what do we do now?” I ask.
“Okay we need to look for people around her age here that are somewhat nerdy and definitely lonely, then we say that she likes them and yeah we get like 3 guys to think that and that she will meet them in the hallway in 5 minutes and BANG we have revenge” Andrew says.
“How do we get her to go there though she is with that guy?” I ask.
“Okay we get that random guy to go away for a bit then you get her to go to the hallway by saying… Alan is her in the hallway” Andrew says.
“Who’s Alan?” I ask.
“You know that guy from Neighbours who is a big flirt, he lives around here and well most whores like him and yeah” Andrew replies.
“Oh okay then its not like I watch Neighbours” I say, “How do we get the dude to go?”
“Leave it to me” Andrew says.
We stop dancing and walk up to a 3 nerds, one in the food area, two in the entertaining room and tell them Katy wants to get ‘personal’ with them.
We then walk back to Katy and her ‘guy’.
“Hey dude, Kay is looking for you something about needing help, she is over there” Andrew says pointing to a room.
“Okay thanks” Andrew and the guy walk off.
“So did you hear Alan from Neighbours is here?” I ask.
“Oh my gosh really he is like hot” She says, “Where is he?”
“Oh in the hallway” I say.
“Okay move emo,” she says pushing me out of the way.
I follow her to the hallway.
Just like Andrew had planned the 3 nerds were there They looked to be bickering, They all saw Katy and started trying to chat her up, One of them plants a kiss straight on her lips.
But she doesn’t resist she actually starts kissing him back Man she is such a whore.
Andrew walks in with the guy.
You should have seen the guys face.
“YOU SLUT” The guy says walking up to her.
Katy stops.
Katy, the nerds and the guy are all yelling at each other. Andrew and I admire our work and walk out of the room.
"Man we are good" Andrew says
"Yep that would be us,” I say.
We both laugh.
We walk back to the buffet, get a plate and put plain chips and topped it with some wasabi.
“You Miss wasabi have a weird taste in food,” Andrew says.
“Thank you” I say grabing a handful and eating it.
He grabs a handful and eats it too.
We walk off through the people and run into Mum.
“You two have only been eating haven’t you” Mum says happily.
“Yeah that and…” Andrew says and then looks at me “Dancing”
We both laugh.
Mum raises and eyebrow then lowers it and smiles.
“Where’s Mark?” I ask.
“Eating” mum, says pointing to him eating what looked to be a doughnut.
Andrew and I laugh and walk off.
We finish off the chips and walk to the kitchen and drop off the plate Then we walk back to the entertaining room and dance a little.
“Serious I suck at dancing” I say “Mum made me do it in New Jersey”
“Well I think you’re a good dancer” Andrew says to me.
“Yeah you have to say that” I say.
“Well you’re an… okay dancer,” he says.
I laugh.
“You got that right,” I say.
We go back to dancing. We see a quite an awful sight, Katy full on making out with the nerd she was kissing before We also see the guy she was with before we killed their little ‘fling’.
“We should go see if he is okay,” I say.
“Yeah” Andrew says.
We walk over to him.
His eyes were red and puffy.
“Are you okay?” I ask.
“Fine” he says.
“You sure?” I ask.
“Yeah, I knew she was no good” he says crossing his arms “My fault shouldn’t have tried”
“Well anyways what’s your name?” I ask.
“Nate” he says.
“Well hi Nate I’m Jacquie and this is my boyfriend Andrew” I say.
“Hi” Andrew says.
“Yo” Nate replies.
“So how old are you?” I ask.
“18 you?” Nate asks.
“17” Andrew and I reply.
“Okay cool” Nate says.
“So” I say not being able to think of anything to say.
“Yeah, I hear you guys were emo’s” Nate says.
“Nah, Goths” Andrew says.
“Okay, Katy said you were ‘freaky emo people’ and fuck have you noticed when she ever says something that has a 'p' or 's' in it how much spit comes flying out of her mouth, I mean I was gonna get an umbrella if she didn’t stop talking” Nate says.
“Yeah I did notice that” I say.
Andrew nods.
“Well I better be going, I’m skateboarding with some mate” Nate says.
“Okay cool, I guess you skateboard then” I say.
“Yeah, you?” Nate asks.
“Well occasionally, I don’t do a lot of tricks though” I say.
“I do too but not a tricker either” Andrew says.
“Wanna join me?” Nate asks.
“Sure where?” I ask.
“Just down the street, you know the park” Nate replies.
“We don’t have any boards,” Andrew says.
“Eh you can borrow 1 of mine” Nate says.
“We will meet you there” I say.
“Okay later” Nate says.
“Later” Andrew says.
Nate walks off.
“Why are we meeting him there?” Andrew asks me “Can’t we just go there?”
“Mum would want to know,” I say.
“Fine” Andrew says rolling his eyes.
We walk around look for my mum.
We find her talking to Kay and couple of other people with Mark.
“Mum going skating promise we will be back later bye” I say.
“Why not stay?” Kay says before mum can say no.
“Well its just … not our age group” I say thinking of the 1st excuse that could come to mind.
“Okay off you go then” Kay says.
Mum looks at Kay and Kay shrugs.
We walk off before anyone could change his or her mind.
We run off down the street to the park.
We spot Nate and he spots us.
“Yo” Nate says.
“Hi” Andrew says but I’m too busy watching people grind on the rails and do tricks.
“I see you want to try” Nate says to me.
“I just skate I don’t do tricks” I say.
“Robbo will teach ya something” Nate says “What about you Andrew?”
“Yeah sure I’ll try and fail miserably,” Andrew says with a laugh.
“Okay have a negative attitude that won’t help” Nate says “YO ROBBO”
A skater comes flying past and stops right in front on me He looks at me then looks at Nate.
“You called,” he says in a rather disturbing voice.
“Yes these two are … as tricked then Simon” Nate says.
“Did you say Simon?” I ask
“Yeah, You know him?” Nate asks.
“Yeah, well we know a Simon who is a wannabe jock that tries to hang with us” Andrew says.
“Yep that’s Sim man,” Robbo says with an evil laugh.
“Umm no offence, are you possessed or something?” I ask
“Devil skater” Nate says.
“What?” Andrew asks.
“He thinks he is possessed,” Nate says.
“I fucken am” Robbo says angrily.
“Okay dude you are” Nate says “Geez”
“Good” Robbo says with an evil smile.
A shiver goes down my spine.
“Anyways teach them something,” Nate says.
“Sure” Robbo says “Dancer?”
“That’s gay” Nate says.
“But easy” Robbo says.
“Yeah but they can both coast so teach them something … good” Nate says, “Anyway be back need to piss”
Nate walks off.
Robbo gets on a board and grinds a bench and comes back.
“Okay I got it, Ollie” Robbo says “Cause that will probably the best at the moment”.
“Man they are like sad though,” Andrew groans.
“Yes but you should learn them” Robbo says.


2 hours later…
I haven’t exactly perfected ollies but I’m okay at them Andrew on the other hand has got it. Serious he can do them like pro but can’t do flip tricks Oh well.
“Jacquie we have to get back to Kays” Andrew says.
“Oh yeah, Nate are you coming back?” I ask.
“Nah, but I’m pretty sure there is gonna be heaps more people cause as soon as it starts getting dark the party starts at Kay’s” Nate says “Oh Yeah Simon is gonna be there too by the way”
“Why?” Andrew asks.
“He is Kay’s Friend’s Son and yeah he will go” Nate says.
“Damn” I say.
“Yeah he is very… wannabe,” Robbo says.
“Yeah it's annoying” I say.
“Yeah” Nate says.
“Anyways bye” I say.
“Bye” Nate and Robbo say.
Andrew and I walk back to Kay’s.
We could hear the music like 5 blocks away.
“Gosh how loud do they want it?” I ask rhetorically.
The door of the house is wide open.
We walk straight in and it’s a crazy house, everyone dancing, drinking, eating and well, talking.
Mum and Mark are dancing.
We go to the buffet and get some food.
“I think all we pretty much have done today at this party is eat” I say.
“Yeah I know” Andrew says taking a bite of a sausage roll.
I go to take a bite of a piece of cake when …
“Hi guys” Someone says.
We look at who said it its Simon.
I almost choke on the unfully bitten piece of cake.
“Hi” Andrew moans.
“Wow didn’t think you guys would be here,” Simon says.
“Yeah” Andrew says.
I swallow the bite I nearly choked on.
“So are you here with anyone else?” I ask.
“Yeah my mum and dad” he says.
Andrew rolls his eyes and finishes off his sausage roll.
“Let go dance Jacquie” Andrew says.
“Sure” I say.
I eat the rest of the cake quickly cause I knew he didn’t wanna be near Simon much longer and neither did I.
We walk to the entertaining room and dance together.
Simon follows us and tries to join in, but Andrew makes it a very close slow dance. Simon backs off a bit.
It was kinda weird slow dancing to such a fast pop song.



10.30pm…
The party is still going at its max, Andrew and I managed to sneak a couple of drinks We drank them fast which made it go straight to our heads. So we were acting like total dickheads. But no one really noticed except Simon but he didn’t care he went off home, I’m guessing he can’t handle loud music. The drinks wore off a bit later on Pretty much that’s all we have done, well that and eat. Mark is holding mum up as they walk over to us.
“So you guys good to go home?” Mark asks.
I look at Andrew and he nods.
“Yep” I say.
We find Kay and say bye and leave the party.
Mark drives us home and I can’t help but admire how pretty the city looks at night.
“City Bitch” Andrew says and then covers his mouth obviously forgetting Mum and Mark were in the car.
But mum is too pissed to notice and Mark is too busy driving the car.
I crack up laughing which now gets Marks attention.
“What?” he asks.
“Nothing, just realising how deaf people are?” I say and Andrew laughs.
“You don’t mean me do you?” Mark asks.
“Oh no” I say sarcastically.
“Okay good then” Mark says oblivious to my sarcastic-ness.
I give a little laugh and look back out the window.
It looks prettier and prettier as you get closer to the centre of the city. I mean New York was way brighter but here it had the perfect lighting, none of it over done. I liked it here but still it didn’t feel like home to me, I liked the feeling of being well … unsafe New Jersey was exactly how I liked it, unsafe. You could be walking down the street casually one minute and then the next found dead in the lake. Most nights you would hear gunshots and nearly everyday you would see a cop car, if you didn’t see it you heard it, I guess it was the whole adrenaline rush I liked. I remember once when Gerard and I were walking to Ray’s, some guy jumped out of the bushes and held a gun to Gerard It scared the shit outta me and all I remember was the urge to kick the gun and run like hell. That’s what I did, and Gerard and I ran as fast as we could to a shop and went in and acted as normal as possible. That was the smartest thing you could do if you were getting away from a mugger, because the all clerks in New Jersey had guns But in Sydney there was less crime. Part of me seriously liked it but the other longed for a gun to be pointed in my direction I knew it sounded stupid, but the sheer thrill of being in trouble just seemed to make me happy.
“Umm Jacquie you getting out?"Someone says outside the car.
I realize I’m home… well where I lived, never could I think this was home I get out of the car and Andrew brings me into a warm loving embrace.
“What the hell is this for?” I ask hugging him back.
“You totally blacked out” he says, “Mark and your mum are already inside”
“How long?” I ask.
“A couple of minutes” He says letting go of me.
“Oh, sorry I was just thinking” I say closing the car door and walking into the house Andrew follows.
“What about?” Andrew asks.
“Nothing” I say flopping onto the couch.
“Me?” Andrew asks.
“Nah serious it’s nothing” I say.
“Really?” He asks.
“If I told you what I was thinking you would think it’s stupid, so really it’s nothing” I say.
“Okay” he says and looks at the clock “Shit I better go home”
I look at the clock it’s 11pm.
“I’ll walk with you,” I say getting up.
“No.cause then you will have to walk back by yourself” he says jumping up.
“It’s fine,” I say walking to the door with him.
“Anything could happen … you … you could be held at knife point” Andrew says.
“I would love that,” I say under my breath.
“What?” he asks.
“Nothing” I say “I’m coming with you Okay”
I say opening the door.
“Bye Mark,walking Andrew home” I yell and close the door after Andrew and I before Mark could object.
Andrew looks at me as if I’m insane or something.
“What?as if mum is gonna reply in her state” I say.
“No it’s just… Never mind” he says turning around.
We walk to Andrew’s and when we get to his front door I give him a kiss and the porch light flicks on.
“I hope you have sensor lights,” I say.
“Nope” Andrew says.
The door opens up.
I expect to see Andrew’s mum but no it’s Mel.
“Fuck you two are so loud"Mel says sleepily.
“Mum sleeping?” Andrew asks.
“Well she has been asleep since 7pm but since you guys were so loud I wouldn’t be surprised if she woke up” Mel says and then sleepily walks back inside leaving the door open for Andrew.
I give another kiss to Andrew and he goes inside and closes the door.
I decide to walk the long way home.
Most nights here it was hot and humid but tonight it was freezing. The cold was going straight through my skinny leg jeans and my shirt. I cross my arms hoping I can keep warm I look around, no one in this street looks to be awake There’s no traffic so I walk in the middle of the road.
“This is probably as dangerous as you can get around here,” I say aloud.
“Well no you could still be at Kay’s” A male voice says that makes me jump.
I turn around and see Nate.
“Hiya” I say.
“Hi” he says with a smile “What is a girl like you doing out so late around here?”
“Oh I walked Andrew home,” I say.
“Isn’t that supposed to be the other way around?" he says
Well I guess but I need to do something, I can’t just sit at home,” I say.
“You’re a rebel,” he says.
We start walking down the road.
“Totally” I say.
“So where do you live?” he asks.
“Not very far away, 167 Jane Street” I say.
“Cool, I live in Cyprus Road” he says “Where all the drugies get their doses”
He laughs.
I stop walking.
“What?” he asks turning around and looking at me.
“Is that close to Jane Street” I ask.
“Not really” he says “Why?”
“Oh nothing” I say.
“Your not a drugie” he asks.
“No no, just my mum has had troubles” I say and continue walking.
“Oh” he says joining me.
“Yeah” I say.
We walk for a while in silence until he breaks it.
“Have you every tried?” he asks.
“Huh?” I say.
“Have you tried drugs?” he asks.
“Well I’ve been on anti-depressants and Panadol” I say “But I don’t think that really counts”
“Nah” he says with a laugh.
“You?” I ask.
“Well yeah” he says scratching his head.
Ahh the nervous scratch His was on the back of his head but mine on the other hand was on my neck.
“Ehh I won’t think any less of you,it’s fine,” I say.
He gives a nervous smile.
“Really?” he asks.
“Sure” I say “Hey one of my best friends likes to get drunk whenever he can”
“Okay” he says.
“Okay this is my street see ya later Nate” I say.
“Bye” he says and keeps walking straight.
I walk down my road and knock on the door.
Mark opens the door.
“You took your time I was getting worried,” he says letting me in.
“I took the long way” I say and rub my hands over my cold arms.
I walk inside.
“I would prefer you not do that,” he says closing the door.
“And I prefer to be able to run naked down the street but that is not gonna happen” I say walking to my room.
Did I just say that? Man is it me or am I getting bitchy?
I stop and turn around.
“Sorry” I say.
“It’s okay” he says, “You're tired”
“Yeah that must be it,” I say.
“I guess you should get some sleep” he says “I’m gonna sleep to”
“Okay” I say “See you in the morning”
He nods and walks to his room.
I turn off the light I use me “night vision” to get to my room Also I run into the chair getting there.
I turn on my bedroom light and close the door.
I let my eyes adjust to the light.
I walk over to my laptop and turn it on.
I check my email.

5 emails. Oh I’m popular.
4 are Spam. Okay popular no.
The one left is from Mikey.

So bored… Some chick stole my glasses today and nearly snapped them and then threw them at a tree so now they are scratched. Stupid bitch. I’m getting a new pair tomorrow. Well Gerard has lightened up a fair bit. Which is good I guess. But still seems to refuse to do anything. He has been talking more to us though. Anyways gotta help Frankie with his homework he doesn’t want to do it by himself. Byes

I send it and shut down my laptop I change into my pj’s and lie down on my bed and pull the covers over me I sit there for a bit and think about how awesome it will be to see everyone again. I drift off to sleep as soon as I close my eyes.

Chapter 31– Ass Teacher(Jacquie’s POV)

“Oh Damn what a fuck” Tahlia says.
Bell rings…

“Awww well we gotta go” Mel says “ Hope it goes okay”
I hug Tahlia and Mel and they go off to class.
The Library is deserted except for me and Andrew and a librarian.
“Andy serious I’m fucken scared” I say.
“It’s okay, It’ll be fine” he says.
“I hope you're right” I say.
“Well one question” he asks “ Why are you so scared now since you have been suspended and expelled before?”
“Well Mum’s different now … unpredictable” I say.
“Yeah I guess that’s something to look out for” he replies.
The doors open.
We turn and see both Andrew’s Mum and mine.
I gulp.
Mum does not look happy, but Andrew’s mum looks upset but not enraged or anything.
My Mum walks right up to me.
“We are leaving now” she says holding in anger.
“It wasn’t her fault” Andrew says.
“I don’t care” She says pulling me up.
I walk off with her Trying to keep up with her was quite a challenge she always walked fast when she was peed off, I wave to Andrew and He waves back.
“Hurry up” She says to me.
We walk past Andrew’s Mum, she shrugs and shoots me a hopefuliy, smile.
We walk out the school and there is Mark waiting with the car, He is looking at the ground.
"Jacquie in" Mum says to me.
I obey her and sit in the car and close the door, Mark closes my door and then mums after she gets in, He walks to the other side and gets in. We drive off and I catch a glimpse of Andrew running out.
This isn't going to be a fun convincing game when I get home.

5 minutes...
We get out and go inside the house, I immediately go into my room and throw my bag down and fall on my bag I wait till I hear my mum call me.
I get up and go into the living room.
Mum is sitting down next to Mark, Mark again looking at the ground. But mum looked somewhat calm.
"Well what's your side of the story?" She asks.
"Well Mr Pierson was annoying me and kept giving me detentions for, like nothing and he isn't nice to people like me or Andrew" I say "So I said a couple of things under my breath, then he sent me out and I said something and then he said go to the principals office and I swore at him and walked out of the school with my bag"
"That all?" She asks me.
"Andrew said that when I left Mr Pierson called me a stupid skank and that’s why Andrew is in trouble because he defended me,” I say.
"Well..." she begins but takes a breath before continuing "What you did wasn't the best thing to do but... I see what you mean, he has been picking on you"
"Can people stop saying picking its so ... childish" I say.
"Bullying?" Mum asks.
"Fine" I say.
"Well he has been 'bullying you'" she says, "I'll make sure that you don't have to have him again"
"Thanks" I say.
"But well this is the hard part" She says.
"What?" I ask.
"Well Kerrie and Jimmy were wondering if you would like to go see them in a couple of weeks" she says "But since you have done this I'm starting to doubt I should let you go"
WHAT SEE JIMMY AND KERRIE AND OH MY GOD I COULD SEE ALL MY FRIENDS!!!
"Please mum,” I ask.
"Jacquie I think we should wait till holidays because that is around the time Kerrie and Jimmy have their wedding" Mum says.
"Awww please just for a week, I mean I'm not gonna be at school for two weeks I could be out your hair for one of them" I beg.
"I don't think its right, it's like ... praising you in a way which is one thing I shouldn't do" Mum replies.
"Please I Wanna See Gera...Jimmy" I say
"Sounds more like a Gerard there" Mum says.
"Well I haven't seen him for ages" I say.
"I thought you had a boyfriend?" Mum says.
"I do, Gerard is a good friend of mine not a boyfriend, please,” I say.
"Let me think about it" Mum says.
"Okay thanks mum" I say and hug her.
"Mark are you okay?" I ask.
"Yeah, just didn't think you would be suspended" he says and then yells “I MEAN HE IS A... JERK"
"So you don't hate me do you guys?" I ask.
"No" They both say.
"I was only angry cause Mr Pierson made you sound as if you had killed someone, but I knew your story would be different but yours would also be the truth cause that’s how I've brought you up" Mum says with a smile.
"Thanks mum" I say and walk into my room and close the door.
I change out of my school clothes and into some baggy black jeans and a big white baggy tee shirt. Yep baggy time (lol).

I hear a weird sound It's my phone vibrating I get my phone (Calling: Andrew) and answer it.
"Are you okay?" He asks instantly.
"Yeah everything’s fine, Mum believes me that Mr Pierson is a Fuck Face and same with Mark" I reply.
"Okay as long as you’re okay,” he says relieved.
"Oh my god guess what?" I ask.
"What?" he asks.
"I might be going back to America for a week soon" I say.
"Really?" he asks.
"Well maybe so yeah I'm not sure yet mum has to figure out if it would be 'Praising' me" I say and laugh.
"Oh umm what about me what will I do for a week?" he asks.
"Umm hang with Jared watch that movie with MJ" I say and laugh.
"Well okay" He says.
"You okay?" I ask.
"Yeah just wish I could be with you,” He says.
"Oh I'm sorry,” I say.
"It's okay,” he says "well I better be going I'm helping mum do stuff as a punishment" he says and laughs.
"Okay see ya,” I say
"See ya" he says and hangs up.
I put my phone by my bed.
I sit down on my bed.

There's a knock on the door and mum comes in.
"Who was that?" she asked.
"Andrew" I say.
"Okay cool" she says, "so I was thinking about letting you go and I have decided you will be going..."
"OH THANKS MUM" I yell getting up and hugging her.
"BUT, you must be good and not get into trouble" she says "the littlest bit of trouble and you're coming home"
“Okay thanks mum” I say and hug her again and go to my room.

I check the time it’s 1.07pm so it’s 10.07pm in New Jersey. So I don’t think I will call, I’ll email. I go to my laptop and switch it on and write and email for everybody I know in NJ.
Guess who’s coming for a trip to NJ?
I send it and begin updating a couple of things on my computer.
I get an email from Mikey.

I write a reply.
I’m not sure when but I think really soon and also why are you on the internet so late shouldn’t you be in bed? Also 1 min I’ll go on IM so we can chat.
I send it and log onto my IM account.

Mikey says: Ehh I was bored and everyone is asleep but Gerard, he's out
Jacquie says: Oh okay, where?
Mikey says: I dunno, doesn’t talk to me much.
Jacquie says: Oh okay, when you see him tell him to check his email okays

Jacquie says: Kerrie and Jimmy asked me

Jacquie says: Yeah I nearly couldn’t go cause I just got suspended

I close the conversation and go back to fixing up stuff.

Jacquie says: No but I’m definitely going according to mum

I get up and go to my mum and ask.
“Well I think… next Monday” Mum says.
“Really?” I ask “that quick?”
“Yeah, we have already got your ticket” Mum says.
“Okay thanks” I say, “when do I come back?”
“You leave on the Sunday in New Jersey and when you arrive here it will be Monday” Mum says
I walk back to my laptop.

Jacquie says: I’m going next Monday and I’m staying till Sunday In NJ
Andrew says: Okay so I guess for the rest of this week we can be together?
Jacquie says: Sure if mum lets me
Andrew says: Well if she doesn’t let you we will kill her lol jokes

I quit and log off the net. It’s boring now.

I go pick up my drawing pad. What to draw? Okay first thing that comes to mind NOW… Andy. Man it’s weird I haven’t drawn him yet. I begin drawing him, I decide to make it like a fantasy drawing with wings … angel wings. When I finish I admire my work, It looks pretty much like Andrew He is bare chested and footed, is wearing black jeans and his wings spread out. I sign it and turn to the next page. What else to draw? Gerard? I haven’t done one of him … well completed one. The one I did of him a while back didn’t look right just imperfect (chapter 21). But this time it was gonna be fantasy since I was in the mood. I drew him pretty much like Andrew bare chested etc. But when it came to wings angel wings just seemed to look so… unright. Something in my head said devil wings? So I tried them and fuck it looked awesome It looked like Gerard and also I found out devil wings look good on him I might buy him a pair, I laugh and close my book and put it down.
“Want some lunch lawbreaker?” Mark calls out to me jokingly.
“Don’t even joke about that Mark” Mum says.
“I just did” He says.
“Yes Mr Goody two shoes” I reply.
“Oh ha ha tease the guy who is making your sandwich and could put chilli in it” he says.
“I love chilli” I say.
“God damn it” He says “what do you want then?”
“Umm tuna and whipped cream” I say.
Fuck it’s been a long time since I’ve asked for one of those.
“What the hell? Are you joking?” he asks.
“No she’s not its what her and her bf used to eat” Mum says.
“Andrew? I told ya he is weird” Mark says.
I walk out my room.
“No Gerard and I love Andrew cause he is weird like me” I say.
“So you are two timing?” he asks.
“NO, mum meant ex bf” I say.
“Oh, that makes sense,” he says “but no, not making that”
“Fine cheese samich” I say.
Yep I haven’t lost samich.
“You need to drop that” Mum says.
“What?” I ask looking at my hands.
“No I meant the whole samich thing it’s so little kiddy” she says
“Eh I don’t care” I say and Mark passes me my lunch.
“I do” she says “It stops now”
“Fine” I say.
Of course I wouldn’t I just won’t say it in front of her.
I eat the sandwich and put the plate out and watch some TV.

4pm…
I hear my phone I jump off the couch ran for my phone and I answer it without looking.
“Hi” I say.
“Hiya, wanna stay over with me and Tahlia?” Mel asks.
“Umm sure” I say.
“Well actually it’s a cover so you can spend time with Andrew cause he is annoying me and Tahlia and we are not sure if your mum would let you stay over if it was for him” Mel says.
“Oh I see” I say “I’ll ask mum”
I walk out to the living room.
“Mum can I go stay over Mel’s Tonight?” I ask.
“Umm okay I guess but make sure your home by 2pm tomorrow” She says.
“Sure” I say and walk back into my room.
“I can” I say into the phone.
“Awesome come over soon, like now” she says and then hangs up.
I get my stuff ready Okay lets see missing anything? Clothes? Brush? Pj’s? Phone? Drawing pad and a pencil? Socks? Yes okay got everything I put on my shoes and say bye to mum and Mark. I walk out of my house and walk a bit when I’m tackle hugged by Andrew.
“I couldn’t wait any fucken longer,” he says and gives me a kiss on the lips.
I smile and kiss him back He grabs my hand and pulls me all the way to his place.
“Geez hurry much?” I say.
“No I got you something” he says.
“Aww you didn’t have too” I say.
He opens the door without letting go of my hand and pulls me through. He sits me on the couch and runs off to his room.

I sit waiting patiently… well sorta I keep wanting to get up and see what he was doing Then he comes back with a black gift bag that looks to be stuffed with stuff He passes it to me, I give him a kiss on the cheek and open it up. First I pull out a black skirt that is awesome Then black fishnet stockings (okay what’s he thinking of?) and a smashing Pumpkins Tee, OH MY GOD THE BLACK BOOTS I SAW THAT I LIKE and a black spike wristband.
“OH MY GOD THANKS” I say and pull him down and kiss him like 5 times. I let go and he smiles I pull him back and pash him, I let him go again and his smile widens and he starts kissing me. After about a minute we were making out until…
“Andrew what did she say....…holly shit” Mel says.
“Whoa” Tahlia says.
Andrew jumps up and pushes them back into Mel’s room.
we go back to making out.
